Post Tour- Pre-Recording

Hello Hello again!

So after we got back from the Maine leg of the tour we had to quickly start preparing for recording our FIRST OFFICIAL ALBUM! This included: many cups of coffee, new gadgets thanks to 'To, Electric-reverbed-out-saw, more coffee, and maybe a metronome. The band unfortunately had to part ways with our drummer so we are working hard to come up with foot percussion and other sorts of crazy arrangements for our songs. So be sure to come on out to a show and see what we have been up to! Also, check out Ben's business MBK Murals, some pretty amazing stuff. We wish Ben the best in his artistic pursuits.

Also, this past Sunday we had a show at the second 'Loom in Old Wethersfield CT. We love playing at these type of events and a special thanks to all of our CT friends who made it out. After being on the road for a few weeks it felt great to be playing back home.

Unity Maine: Unity College and Acadia National Park

Hey all!
Im nearly caught up on posts woohoooo.

The day after Billy's Tavern, the guys went with Dan to a coffee shop in Rockland, then took some time to check out some awesome old boats docked for some upkeep.

Unity Maine! This show marks the farthest north the band has ever performed.
The band decided that for Chris' birthday, we would romp around Acadia National Park. Its one of the first in America, having been donated by the Rockefeller family. Its probably one of the most beautiful spots I've been. Right on the Atlantic, and I believe it is the second largest Island on the Eastern Seaboard next to Martha's Vineyard. Anyhow, the band only had two hours in the park, so we took a brisk pace up a smaller mountain next to Cadillac and Beehive Mountain. So here are a bunch of photo's I snapped on the way up.

After visiting Acadia, we clambered back into hank and headed for Unity. The concert hall was beautiful and sounded great thanks to John's fantastic job with the board. We would also like to thank Meg for having us at Unity College. We had a blast playing for all of you up in Maine and we hope to make it out to your lovely state again!

Maine Tour: Billy's Tavern

The day after The Oak and the Axe, the crew decided to take some time and check out the L.L. Bean Flagship Store in Freeport Maine. The store is pretty awesome, besides the cool gear, it has an aquarium with a little bubble where you can see eye to eye with various types of salmon and the like. Almost felt like home. Also, lots of random taxidermy, including two huge moose fighting. I really wanted to say moosen. And if anyone gets that reference, then high five me at the next show. no words needed, I'll just feel our minds connect.( after about 5 blog posts in a row, one's brain starts to go)
So here are a few pictures of L.L. Bean in all its glory.

Billy's Tavern is an awesome Irish pub, with some awesome staff. Dan, Chris and Alane. The three of them do all they can to make visiting bands feel welcome and we can't thank them enough. Alane for her photography skills which you can check out on our Facebook page, Chris with inviting us back and his extensive knowledge of whiskey, and Dan for booking us and opening his home to us to crash at after the show. We had a great time playing for you all in Thomaston, and hope to visit again!
